ilyali Mission Statement: ilyali seeks to uplift the writing and visual art of individuals and collectives who dive into the magical, the fabulous, and fabulist rivers that run through the day-to-day. ilyali is dedicated to the foundation of generative connections between individuals and the environment that both empower and liberate through this very specific and abundant magic.

Irene Lee is instilled with the echo of woods and bound to the blueness of mountains that resounds in urban as well as rural settings. Her work aims to build strong and loving community through books, parties and education. Connections form the most intimate to communal. She has published the zine SETS, an art book, Lost Cities, and Spells. She is the founder of the press, ilylali. She is part of a feminist publishing group, Fine Dress Press. Her writing has been featured in a Flux Factory publication for which she taught a writing class called ‘The Wonder Cabinet.' She coordinates at the East Harlem site of the “I Have a Dream” Foundation serving children ages 9-13. Irene is certified in CPR and is also a swim instructor. Please contact for lessons.
